Red Carpet Ready

Face:To copy J-Lo's look, you need maximum coverage. Not a blemish, not a freckle. Only picture-perfect skin will do. So get out your brushes and get ready to paint. After moisturizing, apply concealer with a brush to the inner corners of the eyes and underneath to cover dark circles. Also apply concealer to the eyelid for a base foundation before applying shadows. Liquid foundation should also be applied with a brush to all areas of the skin that need evening out and blended with concealer. After you've applied blush, use a large powder brush to set makeup. You don't want to see the powder, however, so use very little, tapping the brush several times before touching it to your face.

Blush:Apply a mauve powder bush to the apples of cheeks and back toward temples along cheekbones with a large blush brush.

Eyelid:Apply a frosty lavender powder shadow to the entire lid area with a fat shadow brush.

Crease:Apply a plum powder shadow to the outer corner of the lid and sweep back toward brow. If you use a small shadow brush you won't have to worry about applying too much shadow. This is a softened cat eye. You don't want the plum shadow to come in as far as the colored part of the eye. You also don't want dramatic lines. After you've applied the shadow, soften the lines by gently tapping a clean brush onto the plum shadow.

High Light:Apply a frosty dove shadow under the arch of the brow and under lower lashes to bright eyes.

Eyeliner:Line eyes with a cake eyeliner in a gray-black shade. Black is a little too harsh against the lavender shadows, but a gray-black will blend nicely. Also, a cake liner will have more definition and will help to hide seams if you choose to use false eyelashes!

Brows:Perfectly coiffed brows are essential to pulling off this look. Pluck any strays and pencil in any spots. You can also apply a gel to keep brows in place and arches strong throughout the night.

Mascara:J-Lo's working with more than what God gave her. And we applaud her for wear in falsies. False eyelashes are a great way to add a little glamour to your evening and after you've done it once or twice, they're really easy to apply. For this look, apply a little mascara to the lashes to give them extra thickness. You should also apply liner after you've

Lips:Lips should be lined with a mauve lip liner and a pink, almost bubblegum lipstick should be applied afterward. Apply lipstick and blot. Repeat two more times. This will make lipstick last longer. Follow with just a hint of gloss to make lips shine.
